Current Ajax manager Frank de Boer was at Barça from 1999 to 2003, playing in defence at the Camp Nou in the same team as his twin brother Ronald, and with their compatriot Louis Van Gaal on the bench.

A specialist in the air and at long-range shots, he scored ten goals in his time here and this video is a reminder of those. Look out for Barça manager Luis Enrique, who also appears. He and De Boer played alongside each other for four and half years, and meet again on Tuesday, this time as rivals.

“I have a very good relationship with him” said De Boer in his pre-match press conference on Monday. “He lived in Gavà, where I live. I’m looking forward to saying hi to him and I hope he doesn’t make life too difficult for us.”
