Jordi Alba praises Sevilla ahead of Copa del Rey final

The FC Barcelona full-back says the team is ready for Sunday's big game but warns their opponents are always well-prepared

Appearing at the presentation of the football camp that bears his name, FC Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba took time out to talk about the team and their final game — Sunday's Copa del Rey final versus Sevilla.

"We feel good and our aim is to win the Cup," he said. "It would be great to finish the season with a double."

But he also gave a stern warning about Sevilla. "They are a great team, with a coach who always plans well for games against Barça," he said.

Sevilla were in action Wednesday night in the UEFA Europa League final, although Alba does not believe it will make them tired for Sunday "The more wear amd tear for them the better for us, but tiredness does not exist in a final."

Winning the league has given us confidence for Sunday's final.

Alba also talked about the possibility of winning the domestic double. "The League and Cup titles are very important because they're tough to win. They deserve more credit thann they often times get," he said. "We would like to win the treble every season but nobody has been able to do it."

With Barça a win away from their 28th Copa del Rey, Alba also praised the team's hard work. "We are very pleased with what we've done and the work our coach has done during these two seasons," he said. "Winning the league has given us confidence for Sunday's final."

Speaking about the team's lunch on Wednesday, Alba said it was "good for the team."

"It's a fantastic group," he said.
