Crvena zvezda 60-72 Barça: The leaders claim victory

The blaugranes pull off a commanding win in Belgrade to move back to the top of the table in the Euroleague

Barça pulled off a great win in the Pionir Arena in Belgrade by beating Crvena zvedza 72-60 in their 21st Euroleague fixture of the season. Coupled with CSKA's defeat, the victory takes Saras Jasikevicius' team back to the top of the table after a game which also saw the return of Brandon Davies and Nikola Mirotic. 

Good start from the visitors

Barça took the advantage early on in the game and never let it go. At one point in the opening quarter they were 13 points ahead before finishing the first period with a 10 point gap at 21-11. 

In the second quarter Crvena zvezda fought back and by half time the lead was cut to 35-31. In the second half Barça's solid defence came to the fore and with Higgins racking up the points on offense, they went into the final quarter with a 12 point lead at 57-45. With Mirotic and Davies returning to the side, Barça held out for a 72-60 win in Belgrade to lead the Euroleague table once again.
